Hi all,
Well, I have finally discovered what the tiny "things" are in my blondi vivarium. They aren't mites, as was earlier feared. They instead are tiny, barely discernable pinhead crickets. Now, if only I could catch them...
Peace,
Gillian

Get the T. Blondi out and put in a few spiderlings, maybe they'll eat em :)

The bastards. Chances are they will just die out, but watch out for scuttle flies that may try to feed on the corpses. They spread quickly.

Vayu & Dennie,
*lol* However, I will be cleaning the enclosure out. It can't be exactly pleasant, to have those little beasts crawling all over her...
Peace,
Gillian

If you don't have that already, my suggestion is: put in a large shallow water dish where the pinheads can get into. I've had this problem with a rosie before, and all the pinheads drowned themselves in the water dish. (ow, I just had a thought, a blondi enclosure is bound to be much more moist than my rosie enclosure, so the pinheads don't have to search for the moisture they need, and thus not going to the water dish, if this is the case, ignore my suggestion...;) )
greetz,
Joost
