Is it normal? My P.Murinus has been drummin all night and he's barely 3'', not even close to matured. Though, he has now stopped, i think it's weird. Maybe, he's tryin to woo my p.metallica :embarrassed: ... I set his KK right on top of her tank.

uh, at 3", a p. murinus male can totally be mature. tra looking at his palps, you should see the boxing gloves. i've never heard of a non-mature t drumming.

I've got an immature male A. geniculata that's been drumming to the vaccuum. However, at 3" I agree, that P. murinus could be mature. Look for rounded palps and hooks.

I have seen a couple of my OBTs tap at what looks like to be invisible prey somewhere. I have an inmature male that taps the side of the container every time I close the door to the T room. I am not sure why they do that as juvies. Maybe they are practicing.

Maybe it's the spider equivalent of 'beating off'? (and apologies if that's considered ban-worthy... I thought it was a good pun)

Or possibly a bass player and a vocalist.
That is the best laugh I've had in several days.
