Limestone for Cubaris?

I’ve seen online that many isopod breeders keep limestone with their colonies, particularly those in the Cubaris genus. Can anyone here verify whether or not limestone actually plays a part in the development of these isopods?

I’ve seen online that many isopod breeders keep limestone with their colonies, particularly those in the Cubaris genus. Can anyone here verify whether or not limestone actually plays a part in the development of these isopods?

I am not sure about other Cubaris species but Cubaris sp. Rubber Ducky is found in and around caves so limestone is part of their natural habitat and they benefit from limestone in captivity.
