Has anyone raised an Iridopelma hirsutum from tiny sling till it died from old age? Having trouble finding any info on them as far as how long they typically live.
My girl is not doing so hot all of a sudden. I've raised her from a sling and never had any problems till now. I'm not sure how old she is but I'm pretty sure she's not old enough to be dying from old age. I've had her for about 2 - 2 1/2 years and I got her as a sling at about 1 1/4".
I did just move recently to a colder climate but we keep it fairly warm inside the house so I don't think this should matter. She was fine when she first got here but today I noticed she was very very sluggish and can barely hang on to the sides of her terrarium. She's refusing water so I don't think it's dehydration. She's not due for a molt as she just molted a couple months ago. :wall:
Anyone that has experience with this species have any insight?
