Hey,
I just came back to the hobby about six months ago after a five year break. I now have 3 T's in my small collection all of which I bought from a local Herp shop. Out of the three I bought 2 were mis-identified which resulted in my favour depending on how you look at it. Heres what I brought home;

First T.
Sold to me as a B. smithi
3'' juvy female 35$
Turned out to be a B. Emilia

Second T.
Sold to me as N. chromatus
4'' juvy female 35$
Found it to be an A. geniculata

The Third and FINAL T.(from them anyway)
Sold to me as P. pedersini
2'' sling also 35$
I couldn't tell you if that is what he/she actually is but it sure is a pokie

As you can imagine I won't be buying T's there anymore... unless something is way underpried.
let me know what you guys think!:D

Misidentifications at LPSs are to be expected.... but those are great prices for the B. emilia and A. geniculata!

If you can get a clear underside picture of the Pokie, we could probably identify it for you.... :)

Now I know. They are a well respected Herp shop around the county so I guess I expected to much.
Ill post a pick of the Pokie ASAP.. Thanks!

The first T looks like a smithi to me..
Second one can be either an A. genic or even an A. brocklehursti..
As for the pokie... Im no help with it.. But.. I did notice there are some legs missing.. What happened?

I think the brachy is either a smithi or auratum.
Auratum? I only see one red knee on each leg?

Not emilia, although the triangle is misleading.

But $35 for any of those GOOD!:)

I would've thought emilia on that first one, too. ?

Can you post photos of the carapace on the Pokie?

or not. I just realized that the red starts on the wrong leg segment. Oops.

i'm going to go against consensus (or with, perhaps) here right now.

unless you overestimated the size (which to me, it looks smaller than 3" but theres no reference so i can't be certain), B. smithi should look pretty reliably smithi by 3" leg-wise. i think by 2" mine had obvious legs and the other smithi is following suit as well... however, i have not raised emilia slings yet so i can only give what i've observed with my smithis.
