Brachypelma Smithi is back to being b. Smithi? And not hamorii? Anyone have confirmation of this? I'm confused.

Here's a link of the topic being discussed in another post. HOpe it helps! it's very confusing at the moment :(

It's... really not confusing

As of right now, literally this moment, nothing is different. No research has been published, and therefore your B. smithi is still a B. smithi. The research is supposed to be published soon, but until that happens, nothing changes.

But yes. Apparently B. smithi will be changing to B. hamorii and vise versa. Just hold off until the publication before you relabel your spiders.

Your right, after talking to a few people on a Tarantula group on facebook it's actually not confusing at all :)

So there's a high chance of the Smithi being changed to Hamorii now?
It's apparently certain. Word is that the research has been reviewed and accepted, it simply has not yet been published.
