I recently bought a tarantula labeled as a "Brazillian Salmon", so I assumed it to be a L parahybana. Well, I now suspect it is not that species (will be making a thread in the picture ID board about it), and am wondering what the specific differences between the two species are. IIRC, klugi is the one with a lot of red in it, correct? Where can I find the 'official' taxonomical definition/description?
EDIT: Oh, I did not realize the 'T ID' part of the site was an aspect of the gallery. I took a lot of pics, so it will be easier for me to just post them here. My suspicion is that I either got a very red L parahybana, an L klugi, or something different but somehow similar. This T is about 2-3", molted a month ago, hides ALL the time, and is of a very nervous and defensive disposition (gave my poking-stick a hard chomp when I tried to position him). I am also 90% sure from the vent that it is a male (molt was mangled in 'burrow'.
I have been able to discern that it has two tarsi on the at least legs I and IV, just like my L para., and has scopulae on both of the last two segments of legs I. Unlike my L para, the carapace has a bit of a bronze sheen, and the setae are distinctly red. However, they are distributed in much the same fashion as my L para's; spread out evenly over the abdomen, along with all over the rest of the walking legs. Carapace shape looks roughly the same between the two. While the mystery T's carapace has the mentioned bronze sheen, its legs are very black. My L parahybana is a molt-confirmed male, but I do not think it makes a difference here.

Considering I paid $25 for this mystery T BEFORE it molted, I think I made out well, especially if it is anything other than a L parahybana.
After looking at more pics of L klugi, I am not sure it is one of those either.
