Know a site for list of species?

I am learning so much from all of you, but every once in a while you guys will throw out a spider I've never heard of. Do any of you know of a web-site that has all the scientific names, descriptions and possilby picures? Just looking for a great resource page to bookmark so I can learn more. Thanks.

www.e-spiderworld.com has a great list of tarantula's with latin names, pictures, and a brief description of the tarantula. They also have an all text list that lists tons of species as well with common names and brief description. Hope this is helpful.

You will find lots of info and tons of pictures of many different species on this site.

You can check this site by Rick west for species list (Many Pics):

He goes by species names not common names. I memorize cross ref. scientific names w/ common names over time. Its takes awhile. I use my comp to make charts up in Microsoft works on the different species that interests me. I use these sheets when I go shopping.

AS ChrisNCT pointed out, the most comprehensive collection of photos is at Rick West's birdspiders.com. I also recommend using Google's Image Search and searching by scientific name.

There are many sites dedicated to this very subject, but I keep finding Rick West's site to be the most exhaustive and has many photos to drool over.
