Beautiful!! I have always wanted a Monitor.. how big does that guy get? what are the enclosure dimensions?

Hey, hes about 2 1/2 feet long, with a huge tail

I keep him in a 4x2x2 enclosure...heres a really crappy pic, which is dusty since it was just cleaned

nope, I only wish I could make enclosures like that...I had it custom built.

They are a lot more pricey than the more common monitors....expect $700+ for an adult male or juvenile.

yeah I thats fine.. I used to have a friend who was a dealer in the exotic pet world and he had some of the most beautiful monitors with pink throats and so forth.. and they were all several thousand.. so 700+ is not a problem if it is a managable monitor.. a cheaper one will even out in the end with food bills and housing requirements.

try searching for "red ridge tail" or "ackey" monitor as well. they are the dwarf species.

that V. glauerti's realy cool. unfortunately, i'm not to big on feeding mice. otherwise, i'd get one of those...and a blondi.
