Hey all,

Curious as to why this behaviour with my Phrynus Whitei is happening, and if it's something to keep an eye on.

Great eater, has molted twice in my care. Wondering if the pedipalps being extended is just a "relaxed" position? Or if it has something to do with being in Pre-Molt, or something else? Whenever I look at it within the past few days, the pedipalps are extended like so.

Always looking for more info on these animals!

That's a pretty normal resting pose. Looks like a really healthy animal too. Keep doing what you're doing!

Ooooooo I love it! It's weird that "in" is what we see as default.

The animal I posted just molted about 30 minutes ago, all is great!
Not surprising - it was looking pretty swollen :) Make sure to get some photos of those teneral colours as they develop - they change so quickly and you don't get to see it very often!

Yes! One of my favorite parts about owning Amblypygi is the molting process - so nifty to see the changes.
