Great! That S. calceatum is looking at you hungrily, salivating and working his jaws, thinking how satisfying it would feel to sink his fangs into you!

I picked up an S. calceatum sling a few months ago and can't wait until it grows! What have been your experiences with this species? I've heard varying things.

They are very fast, very beautiful. The biggest surprise for me was how prone to jumping they are, more so than any arboreal I've had. Try not to let it escape, because it will be a hard spider to recapture.

Yes! Mine loves to jump. Rehouses are a nightmare, but my H. davidbowie is MUCH faster.

Fast, very defensive (throws up threat posture immediately), and potent venom. I've heard its considered the strongest T venom out there. Love the ivory look on them though.
