I used a dry food storage container from Walmart, I think this is Better Homes and Gardens 16-cup/1gal size flip top container.

And thanks!
This looks like exactly what I need for my Psalmopoeus. I’m about mentally done
with the overall functionality of Amac boxes for my larger slings.

Yes I used these exact ones for my two Psalmopoeus, worked great!

do not worry too much about the tank, one is coming with better ventilation and things for it to hide and climb in.
Even in ideal setups, tarantulas typically don't move around much. My Avics frequently sit in the same spot "hunting" for hours.

That being said, here are some helpful setup guides. Feel free to post pics of your enclosure for feedback.

  • Avicularia and Caribena (by Venom1080): These are the most beginner-friendly arboreal species, commonly sold as pinktoe tarantulas. These species are less tolerant of newbie mistakes, so we recommend getting feedback on your enclosure beforehand.
  • Avicularia and Caribena (by viper69): More helpful advice. See above.
