If you keep in the thing the sling came in do you spray the soil you put in or spray on the vial or deli cup itself. I am asking because of the A.Versicolor(1/2") I am getting and a Brazillian Pink Salmon. (assumes 1/4" to 1/2")

With my Avicularia slings, I just keep the substrate moist. You can lightly spray the sides on the vial, but if you keep the sling well fed, they will get their moisture from the crickets they eat.

I moisten the soil before I put the sling in and then maintain it from there.

I don't have a Salmon Pink, so I'm not sure what temp. and humidity they should be at.

I have been able to successfully keep all of my spiders at room temperature. Over the winter, I might be inclined to point a black light at my slings from a distance just to counteract any cold drafts. They grow faster this way too. As far as moisture, I just try to make sure that the substrate is moist. I don't spray my terrariums nearly as much as I used to. If they are juvies and above, I provide a water dish.
