hi everyone.
I went to a bunch of sites and noticed a lot of the sites say that gramostola cala is the chilean rose but i thought it was gramostola rosea...i know that the chilean flame is the same as the chilean rose but is there such a thing as the gramostola cala or are they all gramostola rosea?

i hope this isn't too jumpy...thanks

A quick answer that stands on somewhat sketchy ground :
They used to be considered different species, but not anymore, since the different color morphs, as they are now considered, have been seen released by the same eggsac.

If you look long enough, you will also probably come across Gramostola spatula. That too is a Chilean rose. There used to be different scientific names for the different color variants of the same species. When it was determined that they were all the same species, all the names were changed to Gramostola rosea.

(At least that is what I've been told.)
