Hi! I got my first jumping spider last wed. It is still a baby. It has not been out and about a lot. For a few days it was inside this little hiding place made out of wood. Then it came out for not long at all and went back. So today I put a fly in and it was moving around and came to the opening and got the fly who basically just went right to the spider. Now it is right back like it has been. I have a pic but it's not very clear but I will post it. I thought maybe pre molt or something. Is this normal for them to not be active at all and stay like this? I'm new to all of this.

Its probably in premolt! make sure to keep the humidity up, and its alright for them not to come out or eat much. fruit flies and other flies are totally safe to leave inside the enclosure so you can leave it overnight, and they make secretly eat. Check out this document for some more info!
