Jumping spider ID

Hello from SoCal.

Just saw a jumping spider on a water fountain in our local park. no pics, but looking through the lenses of the binos (backwards) I could make out a goldish tinged abdomen.

possible ID?

there are so many types, it would be hard to id one without a picture
