Such a gorgeous spider you have there! Only learned about peacock spiders a few weeks ago and I really like them. Tried to get one, but I had no luck in the UK. He's gorgeous! 😍

Thank you!
Such a nice name!
Muffin had a little adventure yesterday I think. Saw some web on a leaf that she definitely didn't touch on Tuesday. ❤🥰
I was told a few times now that they like sunbathing, so I will try it next time it's sunny. :)
Thank you! Sounds like Muffin is making herself at home! I'm so happy for you both!

Update on the little spider:

She drank from a water dipped cotton bud twice yesterday and she hung out almost all day in the entrance of the web. She didn't get spooked almost at all, not from opening and closing her enclosure, not from misting the enclosure and not from my hand being inside the enclosure.
Probably really dislikes the light I got her. It was off most of the day yesterday and I discovered a few webs in places where she definitely didn't go to on Tuesday (watched her every step until she started making her hammock inside the walnut and she hasn't left since to my knowledge). I turned it on as the evening was coming and after she hydrated she seemed to be interested in an adventure and left the walnut. She looked at the light and went straight in running again...
I bought a flashlight so I can see inside the walnut more and she actually seems interested in that light. She always reacts to it by coming closer, not running away from it.
I will not use the bigger lamp anymore, I bought her an other one that is similar to the flashlight she doesn't seem to mind.

I also noticed some new webs in places she definitely didn't go to on Tuesday and I haven't seen her out since. I think she went on a little adventure while the light was off most of the day yesterday. :)

She not only didn't close the web last night, but fell asleep almost falling out of the hammock she made with her little legs hanging out. Then she changed position but still was half way out. I think she is building trust day by day, it's amazing to watch her personality evolve every day! 😍

(Picture of the sleeping beauty. Stayed in this exact position for ages, then I didn't go near her anymore so she can sleep.)

That is wonderful! They are as curious about us as we are about them. Ichabod will just sit and watch me sometimes. You have provided a great home for your little one. You have good instincts and I think you are right about that light. It might just be too bright or too close. I keep Ichabod's enclosure beneath a regular lamp in the room. You can see her sitting there watching me. Jumpers sleep at night. Mine usually goes to bed once the sun goes down. Be sure to give her a day/night cycle so that she gets plenty of rest. That walnut looks like a great place to sleep!

Ichabod's enclosure is beautiful, really suits her! :)

Muffin had a very busy evening. She was spinning webs all over the walnut and she ventured on the closest leaf too! The new light doesn't seem to bother her. She drank again!

(Photos of the upgraded walnut hammock she made up and Muffin drinking from the cotton bud.)
