I finally managed to catch one but I want to try and handle her since I don’t want her sitting in her 32 oz container the whole time, but Im deathly afraid of her. How do I get over thsi? Im mostly afraid that she’s going to jump out of nowhere into the unknown and I’m gonna lose track of her.

Haha I had the same fear when I had my bold jumping spider! I'd suggest putting your hands into a large tub, so if s/he jumps away, she won't go into the unknown (lol) What species? I'm just curious lol. I <3 gray walls and bold jumpers.

It definitely helps to find a well lit, wide open place in the room with no obstacles that the spider could use to hide from you if it got loose. I once spent two hours chasing an escaped female Heteropoda venatoria around my room as it utilized every piece of furniture to hide and get out of my reach. Luckily, jumpers aren’t quite as flighty.
