My male regal jumping spider recently molted. He was in his hammock for nearly the entire day after the molt and I couldn't see well but now he's peaking out and a part of the old exoskeloton (only carapace as far as I can tell) is still stuck on to him

What can I do in this situation? This is my first time owning a jumping spider pet. So suggestions on what can cause this and what I can avoid in the future are also welcome. I knew he was going into a molt and was misting the enclosure and leaving him in complete peace prior to the molt.

It appears to be a case of a bad molt, which was out of your control. As long as it eats, then it should most likely molt out properly like most arachnids. So if it's stuck molt isn't posing a problem of it eating and hunting, then it shouldn't be too big of an issue.
