Oh my goodness what a precious baby! What species is he?
I think a Platycryptus undatus, but I'm not sure since he's wild. But I know that male tan jumpers have red bands on their faces!

When I went out to catch him he was trying to fend off a larger bold jumper, by lifting up his itty bitty arms and trying to look scary. 😭

Definitely not a p undatus. Check out habronattus coecatus
Oh, I've never seen an adult of those around here but that would be really neat! I caught a larger sized one that happens to be missing a leg because I want to try and raise it. If I provided pictures of it would it be identifiable at such a young age?

Wanted to bump this and try to get an ID on this little guy. He's been eating great and has adjusted wonderfully to captivity! I'm still guessing he's H. coecatus but I really don't know and could use more opinions. As a minor note: he is missing a leg. He still hasn't molted with me yet, and I know that I shouldn't get my hopes up on his survival to maturity, but I'm trying my best!
