One good thing happened today:)

Our Curly molted. I am waiting for he/she to
come out of the burrow. You can just see the T
and the shed through a small hole in the web.
I hope to get the shed so I can figure out if its a male
or a female.

I was just looking at my curly and it is trying to move its
shed out of the hide. I may be able to get it. That would be nice
because I need to know if its male or female.

Here is a picture of the shed. It's pretty messed up
and I can't tell what it is.:( Maybe next time.
So far the T has not come out of the burrow, I have only seen it move around. As soon as it comes out I will get a picture.
I can't wait to see it........

Marcie : how do you get your curly from not covering his/her water cap? As soon as I put water in with mine , a few hours later it is filled with substrate. Mines a little 2" sling that has built a small tunnel and if you try to get to him/her it goes crazy. Worst attitude on a T Ive seen yet. Are these a humidity loving species? Cause the substate stays damp all the time from filling the water cap Ive put in there ... Thanx !

Everything I have read says they need medium humidity, 75 to 80% Average temp. 75 to 85F.

The room I have my T's in is at about 70F, it does change throughout the day. And I know the humidity is WAY below
average. I keep all of my T's tanks bone dry, except for the
ones that are really small.
Only one of my T's plays the hide the water dish game,
but that's my A. seemani "Digger"
I have watched him build his burrow with the wet substrate.
He is always building something. I think T's that do this need
a little more humidity than we give them. They may be trying
to make their burrows more humid..........just a thought, who
knows for sure anyway:rolleyes: T's are just wierd:D
