Hey there, just a quick question. I have this piece of cork log in my Nhandu tank, and she is just LOVING it--she has this enormous haplopelma-like burrow underneath it that she is constantly expanding. My only problem is, the wood is molding. I can't stop it molding, due to the moisture of her environment. I was wondering, if I temporarily remove and varnish/ seal the wood--with something like a polyurethane sealer, will the finished wood be harmful the to the tarantula? I would let it dry, of course, so there would be no fumes or fluid, but would the dried varnish be all right? What do you all think? Thanks for any advice!
