But now my question is "too big" for what? ;)

Most tarantulas find their way around such a tank eventually. The recoil does startle them, though.

That depends on the application. If you need it to get the kids to school then yes very much so. If you need it to defend freedom against enemy infantry and vehicles then that should be a good size.

Depends on the tarantula. My A. geniculata would probably try to eat it, because that spider gives precisely zero f***s.

I would definitely worry about the wall height. If it's a terrestrial T, you should make the height from the ground to the ceiling 1.5x the DLS ;)
