is this normal?

my scolopendra heros arizonensis is crazy. i offered a nice hide and everything, and the thing just sits on top of the substrate. when it is not sitting out in the open, it is running around in circles. Is this normal for this species or is it just because i have a 2.5 inch specimen?

try feeding him, he might be looking for food when he's running around. they'll calm down a bit when they get bigger.

i did that and he ate, and ate, and ate, and kept eating until i felt full and wouldn't give him anymore crickets. his kind of fat now but still runs around, just not as fast.

good. now that that he's fat, only feed him once a week. otherwise he'll waste food.
