Is this normal for a B. Vagans sling

I've noticed that my b. vagans sling looks a lot like a b. albiceps. His carapace is never as dark as the rest of him. Its more noticeable when he molts but even after he fully hardens his carapace is much lighter than his jet black legs. Here is a picture of him 4 days after a molt (he is already eating at this point). Should he look like this?

This is what my B. albiceps looks like:

Now answer me this: how long did it take your T to get to that size? Because B. albiceps are PAINFULLY slow to grow. This is what that T above looked like when I got it:

That was mid-September, 2014.

I got it as a .5 inch sling and its gotten to this size in roughly 4 months. Each premolt lasted about 7 days. He is kept at 80°-84°.

Sounds like a growth rate for a vagans. Probably mature in a year and a half to two.

Thanks for the help. I was really worried that I got the wrong spider. I personally prefer Vagans over Albiceps. I just don't like that "gold" carapace.

I've had both my vagans and albiceps since July (both received at 1cm), the vagans is about 2" and has its adult colours, the albiceps is barely over 1" and still looks nondescript, keeping at 78F.

Here's the vagans.

Reading these stories is confusing me to no end, I bought a vagans sling and boehmei sling in July of last year both at 1cm.

Vagan moults:
6/9/17, 31/10/17 and 22/1/18.
Boehmei moults:
7/10/17 and 16/12/17.

I keep mine at similar temps and feed as much as they will take normally 2-3 times per week.
None of them are even close to the 1" mark.

I've got my B. Albiceps(with some other slings) tiny sling around 0.5cm in 6th of December.

5 other spieces moulted once and some of them are preparing for next moult.

And guess what is doing my B. Albiceps... literally nothing. He ate 1 time few days after i got him. And hes doing nothing since than... he look a lot like "premoult" stadium from about month and thats all... Not eating, not moving... just sitting there... And yes... he is alive.
