So I got my GBB sling the other day and I've just noticed a shiny spot on its carapace.

I've not sprinkled water on it and it's not had any falls, knocks or any damage to my knowledge. It just kind of appeared there in the afternoon.

It's only been feeding on fruit fly's which are too small for it as it stands. So it couldn't be damage from its food.

I'm still fairly new to keeping T's so any help would be appreciated.

Any suggestions?

While odd, I think it’s a non issue. Just keep an eye on it. Could be grooming fluid that somehow ended up on its carapace.

The image isn't clear enough to really tell what's going on. Need better focus.

Just monitor, keep dish full of water.
