Is my tarantula sling abdomen too big to feed them?

Here's the pic of my 2 gbb slings. They're 1".
Are they on premolt?
I dont know if I should wait for them to molt or feed them.

You can always offer food and see what happens.

My current C. cyaneopubescens always refuses food during premolt, and yours seems to look in premolt IME.

Just remove any uneaten prey within 24 hours if it decides not to eat

Well, something seems off about them when their butts are way bigger than they should be. They look kind of like ticks instead of spiders.
Doesn't matter, slings can get as fat as they want, they typically have short moult cycles, put everything into growth, and suffer none of the complications that can occur in bulkier juvies/adults.

I don’t understand why people stop feeding slings. As someone that came from true spiders, maybe I’m missing something... With true spiders I always feed until refusal as slings because they need everything they can get to put into growth and molting. When you limit food (with trues) you end up with a smaller adult or a mismolt. So yeah not really sure what the reasoning is with tarantulas...I haven’t heard anything convincing with slings. I understand why you shouldn’t overfeed an adult...but not a sling.
