Is my Phidippus regius about to molt? He’s been chilling in his nest after having built it up by a lot. He hasn’t gone after his food either.

At first I thought he couldn’t see the cricket but I picked it up and showed it several times. He hasn’t eaten for 4 days and he shouldn’t be intimidated by the cricket either. So is he about to molt or is he unable to find his food?

They do this from time to time, not always to molt though. The spider will come out if it's hungry.
