I've had this project in mind of making a densely planted small vertical terrarium, something around 30×30×45cm (10gal). Humid and overall tropical. What invert do you guys think would suit that environment?

Millipedes, isopods, mantids, jumping spiders, cockroaches, etc. There are a lot of different inverts you could try introducing. Do you have any pics, that might help narrow it down depending on how it is put together. How much substrate, what type of substrate, does it have rock and plant features, is it bioactive? And finally what kind of invert interests you the most?

I'll include some inspo pictures of how I'd like it to look. I'm definitely thinking bioactive, wood, rocks and plants. Forest floor vibes. Maybe 10cm of substrate? Nutrient rich soil. I like all types of inverts. At the moment I just have my b.boehmei but I've also kept cockroaches, jumping spiders and millipedes before. I'd love to try keeping any leaf insects, beetles or mantids but I don't know if any of those would fit into this setup size-wise!

Those are some really cool designs. It is evident you have put time and care in this.

I love phasmids (stick insects)
My personal favourite species is the Eurycantha calcerata though they can get pretty big. I know Timema sp tend to be quite small so you could get a big colony going in there. I will compile a list of acceptably sized inverts you could add and post it in this thread, might take me a little while though.

There are also plenty of good options for mantids.
-Ghost mantis
-Asian giant mantis - gets to about 7cm, should fit in your enclosure just fine
-Orchid mantis
I'll get started on that list.

It is so hard to decide on an order to choose from much less a species. I guess try to figure out which arthropods are easiest to acquire where you live and then whichever you like best.
