has any one here ever tried to keep these 2 species together? i would think that since some species of roach prefer to keep out of sight and crickets being more of a open space sort of insect they would be able to co habitat well together plus the clean up of dead crickets the roaches would supply should help the over all health of both am i right in this? tell me what you think on this any info would help out

p.s this is for breeding feeders and only to conserve
space used

I think the crickets would probably predate upon the roach nymphs, particularly while they're molting or still soft from it. Eventually they'd choke out the roaches.

In a colony I'm not sure if it's possible but I'm keeping adult B. lateralis roach & adult black crickets together without any problem.

i was planning on the removal of the egg box for the crickets and the roach egg capsules into another container so would the cricket offspring feed on the roaches even at that young if an age? i was also thinking about starting them off in 2 containers but putting at either end 2 joining pipes kinda like the ones in commercial hamster cages so that way both species could maintain their own territory's for breeding, mating, feeding and so on
