how thick should the acrylic be? I'm looking at a site that has precut pieces, but they're only 1/16th of an inch thick. I've never worked with the stuff before and have no idea if that's thick enough. I'd like to put together some arboreal containers that are more visually appealing. I saw some by zoo med I like, but, didn't really want to pay $80 for something I can make for a fraction of the price. I also wanted more access doors then they have on their model. Also, did you use aquarium sealant over the acrylic cement or just the cement? What did you do for ventilation? Just a series of holes or a mesh piece?
I'm looking at building it for a Avicularia braunshauseni and a Psalmopoeus pulcher.
