Hi, I need help identifying what I believe is a spider (it at least has the appearance of one.)

I'll give a backstory if that helps: my friend and I live in the Coachella Valley which is in the north-west Sonoran Desert. We climbed a small hill and noticed these small spiders walking around everywhere. They were small and had very long legs compared to their bodies. I couldn't see how many eyes they had, but it had a small squarish body, long black and white legs, and when one would see me it would approach me. One got onto my foot without me noticing and it had raised to of its legs. Here's an approximate drawing:

I need to know what it is as my friend and I want to camp up there but are afraid that it might be a dangerous species.

From the color scheme you show, and the banding on the legs, i assume you saw a desert harvestman- Eurybunus

they're harmless and active during spring, as they feed on flowers
