I went fishing with my dad and we had to walk through a wooded area. I bent down to pick up this huge turtle shell and almost put my face in the web when I came back up..It looked weird, it had like pointy points on it's abdomen. I found this picture on the web but it only listed it as an alien spider...Not much help.

Maybe a Micrathena sp.

Okay, I think that's it...I searched that name and found this image that looks a lot more like it..
