A sawyer beetle, Monochamus sp. That would be my stab in the dark guess.

I agree; I believe pine sawyer beetle. You should see the cottonwood borers they also are a sawyer beetle, they are sweet. Just search cottonwood borer and look at those beauties they are also quite large and hiss while picked up.

I second the Monochamus sp. but we need collection data.
