Hi all,
Early december I bought a java dwarf forest scorpion sold to me as a Chaerilus variegatus, she had babies within 3 weeks of me having her and she's a tiny little thing herself.
This was my first ever scorpion, I didn't do huge amounts of research before buying, I saw my local bug shop listing them, did some research then went in and fell in love with the little one. I know it's a rookie mistake but I took all the advice I could from the shop and she was doing well.

As I've been doing research into looking after scorplings I've come across the Liocheles Australasiae, the dwarf wood scorpion, which looks so much like my little mama, she's a light brown colour, not the black you see in the variegatus typically when searching online.

Babies are all doing well, lost 2 in a clutch(?) of 16 and have separated them all out as I was told they would cannibalise otherwise, although seems like the l.australasiae can be kept communally? not that i'd risk it.

TLDR: basically I want to get someone elses opinion.

Yep its a Liocheles Australasiae. They are parthenogenetic meaning they can reproduce without mating. Plus, the babies are basically clones of her so they're all females too.

Thanks both. I've had a few issues with humidity but think I've resolved this now. Fully prepared to have more babies incoming as I'll be keeping at least one of the babies!
