Hullo everyone! The Invertebrate Club of Southern California's August meeting will be on the 21st (Saturday), from 10:00-11:30 AM, via Skype. I have a few announcements to go over but otherwise bring your scientific names and your collection updates and I’ll see you there!

We found a red diamond rattler once on a trip down in San Diego, it was coiled up next to the trail. Pretty cool find to be sure, I just hope that any future rattlesnake encounters are done in much the same way; seen beforehand and at a careful distance, ha ha.

P.S Have been seeing plenty of gopher and garter snakes lately though...
