Yesterday morning I found that 2 of my N. chromatus had molted. When I took a closer look at the male I was thrown for a loop because he had his ultimate molt. "So what", you might say. Well, I only received my chromatus a little over a year ago, and all of them measured about 1/2" then.
Yep, that's right - he matured in a little more than a year. No, I didn't "powerfeed", or did anything else to speed up his growth - it just happened.
To top it off, he's always had somewhat of a "bad" attitude (not as bad as one of my girls, but bad enough still), but now he appears to have turned into a mean machine, imitating a Pokie. See for yourself:
