I this enough ventilation?

So i have this cover that goes perfectly on top of my tank and i was thinking about using it as a cover for my asian forest scorpion. I would like to know if the holes on the top are enough? The holes are about 2.5x1.3 inches and the bigger one is 6.7x2.3 inches

I use your typical mesh top or lids made from drilled acrylic. The drilled acrylic seem to hold humidity a lot better.

I cover half to 3/4 with aluminum foil.

Let me get this straight, if you cover holes with a solid-like substance it actually traps air and water vapor inside better? Astounding- Sir you may win the Nobel Prize in Physics- I will nominate you.

How do you hold the humidity in with mesh screen?

Use a mesh lid and cover half of it or so with saran wrap to retain humidity.
