Hi everyone, I was looking to get into trap door spiders, does anyone know a good species to start with on those spiders? Edit: whoops I just realized I posted in the wrong section of arachnoboards haha!

i would go for the african trapdoor spider. They are pretty common in the trade and make great pets!

I agree that the Africans are good to start with, although they’re all pretty similar in that you’re basically keeping a pet hole. Very fun to watch eat though! If you manage to find any available, Cyclocosmia are pretty cool.
