Hi, I was observing my T right now, and when I looked down...there it was. A small spider. It has really thin legs, and is brown color. I've seen few of this kind of spiders at my house before...I think I'll keep this one. Does anyone know what do they eat?

Try small crickets, about 1/2 its size or less. We've kept some funnel web spiders and S. grossa that did well. Got a picture?

They're actually really cool little spiders - and they take prey much larger than themselves with such enthusiasm that they are awesome to observe!

If you can get one to establish in a window sill, or in some out of reach but easy to watch place, that's the ideal.

I had one in a little hole in the plastic between my windows and tossed it a cricket every feeding time, what a racket! Bam, it would shoot up, take the bug into it's "burrow" and then the noise of chaos and warfarre for a minute or so until the deathly silence signalling the end of the cricket's struggle.

Sadly, the spider forgot that it gets cold in winter, and never took the last cricket I tossed for him. Either he froze, or moved. The cricket I have left, as a welcome mat for the spring. :D
