Huge KS Spidey found - need help with ID

Hi all - found the board while looking for more help on ID'ing this cute little guy I found hunting on my steps tonight. The Audubon book I have doesn't list anything the same size that resembles what him/her.

appears to be either Hogna or Lycosa carolinenis

appears to be either Hogna or Lycosa carolinenis

Lycosa carolinensias was changed to the genus Hogna awhile back.

Other than that, I can't really help. It does look like a hogna to me, but my ID skills leave much to be desired.

i see now - much better looking up Hogna, showed what my field guide didn't.

nice spider!looks liek pics of Hogna species ive seen.but to be honest i have no clue on id

yeah, that is a nice 1 at that,it does look like H.CAROLINENIS, but not definite ofcourse.
