... an A. seemani & an E. murinus. I found a T at a local petstore. The person working there admits he's a reptile person and don't know much about T's. He says it's a skeleton T that is full grown, it's about 4" or so. He also claims it is aggressive. The two above mentioned species look similar so I want to be sure what I'm buying. Also how could I determine the sex. As always, thanks in advance.

E murinus has a far more "bulldog" appearance - and the legs and pedipalps are flared at the bottom, very much like a P irminia.

If it's aggresive i'd go for the E. murinus...

Ephebobus murinus is much more strinking in the striping on the legs. One way to tell though, is that Ephebobus spp. have the urticating hairs on the pedipalps, rather than the abdomen. You won't see the bald patch on the abdomen, and you may see them kicking by rubbing the palps on the chelicerae when disturbed.

Thanks

So what I gather is the E. murinus would:

1)have flared legs & pedipalps.
2)is more striking in the striping of the legs.
3)would "kick hairs" from it's pediplaps rather than abdomen.
4)would be more aggressive than the A. semmani.

Thanks again. He's asking $25 for it but since he says "it's as big as it's going to get" I wonder if it's a mature male with not much time left.

Does anyone know it this species gets the bulbs or hooks?
