I would not consider myself an expert, but I have bred them before. They make a fairly messy web into which you can stick flies and roaches. I am sure they would also accept appropriately sized crickets, but I am not sure I have ever used crickets for mine. If yours is a baby, then put some flightless fruit flies into the enclosure. Even if the flies do not end up in the web, the babies seem to be happy coming down a little ways to eat the flies climbing the walls.
