How to keep my Orthroporus ornatus' enclosure warm enough?

I heard on here that heat mats or heat lamps can be dangerous for them...I was planning on putting my new Millie (Rubble) in a plastic storage bin (with ventilation holes). I'm cautious about it melting the plastic or harming the millipede.
