That’s a really long time! Do audax reach adulthood fast so that most of their life is spent in adulthood or something?

Okay so maybe I am misunderstanding.
You said “how long do adult male Phidippus audax live”
So I assumed you were asking how long a male would live after molting to adulthood. Because if it was just a question on the complete lifespan of a male, having the word “adult” in the title wouldn’t make sense, as that would imply it would have been an adult for its entire life. So that’s why I was surprised that they live 9-12 months as I assumed that meant as an adult excluding the juvenile months.

My Platycryptus undatus is 9-10 months old (from egg to now) and is yet to reach adulthood. Which is why I asked.

I was meaning in total to everyone concerned. Usually they mature quickly, 4-8, maybe 9 months old. Obviously females live longer (2 yrs tops)/mature later/live longer after maturing.
