How long is too long for premolt?

I've got a Brazilian red and white tarantula,they've been in pre molt,or at least i assume for 2 weeks,since all they've done is stay under their piece of log,and spin some silk here and there,and they've got a nice fat rump that is bald,flicked all their hairs.

What i'm wondering is,is this an abnormally long time for premolt? or is it normal for this species? I'm starting to get worried and wonder if i should drop a cricket in there just incase.

no. tarantulas can go months without food. premolt can take months as well.
i suggest reading up more on your pet.

I knew pre molts could take a while,it's just that my tarantula usually has pre molted within a day or two before,this is the first time it's taken so long.

how big is it? Nhandu chromatus are fast growers, but still, their premolt slows way down as they grow.

2-3 inches now.

yup, give it a month. or try a prekilled cricket or something.

My C. Cyaneopubescens usually has month long pre molts. That being said It is due for a molt any day now. So two weeks is nothing to worry about. I feel that tarantulas have a very set scheduled that they won't change for anyone
