Google tells me their body length tops out at a little under ¾".
Define "safe to handle". Safe for whom? They can't hurt you.
Try searching the forum for their care - they're kept pretty much the same as most Phrynus - a bit of moist substrate, a vertical or diagonal climbing surface with plenty of clearance underneath to moult, and some food once in a while.
