I've been considering keeping true spiders, specifically furrow spiders like those offered at SpiderPharm. The species was a special part of my childhood, as they often built large orbs in the windows of my childhood home in southwest Missouri. I've heard that orbweavers can be difficult to acclimatize to captivity due to the space needed to create their orbs, and have considered an upright arboreal tank, a mantis mesh cube, or a butterfly house to contain them. For anyone that has kept orbweavers, how do you house them? Is it much different than housing an arboreal tarantula? How much space do they need to thrive, and with what cage features?
