Hello everyone,

I currently own 2 hottentotta species, H.Flavidulus and H. Pellucidus, and I am wondering is there a standard temperature to keep them at? I’ve seen people say to keep them anywhere between 80-90 Fahrenheit and others say 75-85 Fahrenheit. Currently my room housing them is at 77 Fahrenheit ambient temperature, and I am housing them in plastic locked containers.
Much help would be appreciated.

Although you could keep them at 25⁰C / 77⁰F , I would keep them a bit warmer, especially in summer. 27-32⁰C (80-90⁰F) during the day would be perfect in my opinion, with a temp drop at night. In the winter, you can keep them cooler for a few months. Especially in Pakistan where H. pellucidus is found, the winters are quite a bit cooler. Looking at the climate data for the natural habitat is a great help for deciding how to keep them.
