How reliable is hot glue for fixing cracks in your enclosure? Will it hold or should I scrap it and buy another? 1478605550033674923289.jpg

It's been my experience that hot glue ends up popping off of many plastics. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later.

I wouldn't put hot glue on a crack, especially when the enclosure is just a simple tub that can be bought for E1,-.

It doesn't work, and that will break, just buy a new one. Hot glue (and I use it) is a cheap inferior product for a lot of what we use it for. I've had plastic glued to plastic that came off in a year, subjected to temps no higher than 75.

It's decent for putting cork onto something, still not great. It's just cheap, both in quality and cost hah.

I'd go over the crack with cyanoacrylate and baking soda as an accelerator/gap filler. It'll hold up to normal treatment.
